Jack is once again leading driver

Shepparton reinsman Nathan Jack has claimed back-to-back leading driver awards at Shepparton Harness Racing Club for the 2010-11 season.

Another title: Nathan Jack has won Shepparton Harness Racing Club’s leading driver award for a successive season.

Jack's 99 drives at Shepparton meetings produced 21 wins, 14 seconds and 14 thirds.

Under the 4, 2, 1 points system he tallied 126 points to win in a tight finish from Daryl Douglas (119) and Chris Alford (113).

Jack had hismost successful season behind the sulky in the 2010-11 season with 145 winners placing him sixth in Victoria.

Avenel trainers were well to the fore in the Shepparton awards.

David Aiken took the leading trainer award with his 52 starters producing 10 wins, eight seconds and five thirds, while the Greg Norman-trained Did It Alone took Horse Of the Year honours.

Did It Alone had 11 starts on the track for six wins, two seconds and a third.

Avenel reinsman David Moran took the Leading Concession Reinsman award with seven wins and eight minor placings from 48 drives on the track.

Female Driver of the Year was Lisa Miles with four wins and three placings from 19 drives.

Monique Burnett was the Leading Female Concession Driver with three wins and four minor placings from 20 drives.

The Trotter of the Year award was won by the Geoff Martin-trained Monsieur Deville who had four wins and two seconds.

The awards will be presented at a function at the club on Sunday night, October 16.
